Today my sister is 33.

To add some more content to that, and also some perspective:
• I am 20. This happened in June.

• Our mother is 57, a change that occurred in March. My dad turned 58 in May; I don't know anything about El's father. Mom says he'd be 58 too.

• Our little brother turned 4 in March, too.

• My nephew, her son, turned 1 in May.

• Marlon, the dog, turned 6 in September, and I actually posted about it.

• My girlfriend is going to be back from England soon thank you god turned 19 in March, which also merited a post, but without a picture.

• Her boyfriend – that is, my sister's boyfriend, not my girlfriend's boyfriend – is 30, as of April.

Age soup, ladies and gents.

I've mostly been quiet because I've been in deep shit with Elaine since the 22nd. But really, she thinks it's hilarious. Seriously. There is no way she doesn't find it funny.


Unfortunately I can't say what it was.

Right now she's trying to make my life miserable, though, and it's working to an almost disturbing degree. I have lost my sardonic perk. I am lamenting.

So in trying to find a wedding announcement, I searched Robert's name.

I found something really, really different at the London Times and I'm not even going to link it because I don't even know.

Téa, you should call us, okay? Or at least just me.

Today, for my girlfriend's birthday, I dyed her father's blond tips maroon.


(Okay, so maybe it wasn't a direct gift. And maybe he actually thought it was hilarious and plans to cut them off tomorrow. But Ryan still has maroon hair!)

Today on the 6 train something really, really weird happened.

Hi, I'm at work.

On a Sunday morning.

What do they want from me. I don't actually have anything to do! I am sitting here looking good, which is spectacular levels of lame. I am here at my desk waiting to get told to go photograph something. There isn't anything.

Maybe I'll do a survey or something later.

Right now this is ridiculous. Elaine and Téa both have today off and Carlton might be around I don't know if he's even in the country at the moment (sometimes he's easy to miss but apparently there's some crisis back in Londonland) and so I should be spending time with them and Gremlin, not staring blankly at my computer screen at the Voice.

Why yes, of course we gave the dog a party.

Now I'm babysitting the Gremlin while everyone else is at school/work/whatever. And he's silent, just sitting in his pillows next to me watching me type. It's creepy.
